“Music can be like a big hug from your Mum when you’re wrestling with the challenges of growing up and at forty-five years old I still retreat into my favourite tunes when it all gets a bit much and I need to escape.
Mission to Music has helped me learn how to play the music I love and perform with other people: which has helped me make new friends - and you can never have enough of those.
When everything else is going wrong, music can save you from the glooms and be the light at the end of a long dark tunnel.
When Chris and Edie announced Mission to Music, I was excited to support and bring this message to all the young people in our community”
Magnus Ross, a dedicated member of The Woodbridge Community Choir, has significantly contributed to the establishment of Mission to Music CIC. His generous donations have facilitated the launch of our Launchpad projects and 'TurnUp!' initiative. Magnus has also been instrumental in ensuring disability access at our sister center, Planet Music Academy.
Nearly ten years ago, Magnus experienced a life-changing head injury that left him paralyzed and required him to re-learn everyday activities, including speech. Music and singing were vital components of his recovery, motivating his commitment to making music accessible to all. We are excited to continue benefiting from his support as we expand our choirs and therapeutic music services for head injury and stroke survivors.
